Popular New Year Resolutions

Photo from Psychology Today.
It is new year again? Did you do a resolution in 2010 for 2011? Were you able to accomplish your resolutions?  Will you consider doing another list of things that you will hope to change or improve in 2012? According to a research, here are the most popular new year resolutions:

1. Resolution to improve health. This includes losing some pounds and doing a regular exercise.
2. Resolution to quit vices such as smoking, excessive alcohol intake and gambling.
3. Resolution to pay debt or to maintain good credit standing.
4. Resolution to finding a job or a better job.
5. Resolution to save money either by depositing in a bank or investing to some business or stocks.
6. Resolution to travel.
7. Resolution to spend more quality time with family.
8. Resolution to do charity works.
9. Resolution to learn new things.
10. Resolution to keep a hobby.

Unfortunately, more often than not, only two out of the ten resolutions get to be done because of the following reasons:

1. Unclear and vague goals.
2. Failure to keep track of the progress of the resolution.
3. Weak self-control.

Remember, it is better to list only one resolution that you know you can adhere to than to list ten that you know you will not fully commit yourself to do.

Have a Happy New Year everyone!

My rewards for being loyal

Meet my new cellphone, Samsung Galaxy Y that Smart Telecom gave to me as a reward for being loyal to them. I have been their post-paid subscriber since 2008. My Samsung Monte can take a rest now.

And for being a Smart Bro subscriber for two years, I got this Nokia C1-01 as a reward.

It really pays to be loyal! Woot! Woot! I hope next time they will give me an iPhone! Haha!

Merry Christmas To You!

Let me begin this post by saying 'Thank you!' for supporting Random Thoughts. It wouldn't have gone this far if it weren't for your visits. I hope you'll keep up with me for a longer time.

God bless you all! Merry Christmas!

Dream Interpretation: Carnival, iPhone, New Baby

Photo from here.
I had a series of dreams with no connection with one another last Sunday.

In my first dream, I was merrily watching people on a carnival ride. I just watched them for a few minutes and then I left.

In my second dream, I was inside a mall looking for a cellular phone to buy... particularly an iPhone 4S. Yeah, I long to have one that it even haunts me in my dreams.

In my third dream, the weirdest of the three, I gave birth to a baby girl. I was rushed to a hospital and was immediately sent to the delivery room to give birth. I was assisted by a surgeon (I could still remember his name) instead of an OB-Gyne. There were a couple of nurses and midwives who were also assisting other expectant mothers. It was not the typical delivery room, more like a delivery ward. I was in bed number 4, beside a huge window. I told the surgeon that I have had previous delivery via Cesarian Section. He said we should continue delivering the baby the normal way. I pushed and pushed until the baby girl was out. I could see the doctor assessing the baby. He holds her on her feet. I asked him why isn't the baby crying. He said there is nothing to worry about because she is breathing. I still could not believe why I gave birth in the first place.

According to Dream Moods:

Carnival - means falsehood and deception. Much sorrow will arise in what were thought to be pleasant times.

Cell Phone - seeing a cell phone in dream means you are being receptive of new information. It also represents mobility. Alternatively, it denotes lack of understanding. Perhaps you are having difficulty getting through someone.

Birth -  to dream of giving birth denotes giving birth to a new idea or project. It also represents a new attitude, fresh beginnings or a major event. Alternatively, it means calling attention to your inner child and the potential for you to grow. A more direct interpretation would be your desires or anxieties of giving birth or the anticipation for such an event to occur.

Can you guess who is the first Filipino to own an Apple iPhone 4S?

Photo from mobilephoneconnect.com
It is none other than President Benigno Aquino III!

The most coveted phone was delivered by Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala, chair of Globe's parent firm, Ayala Corp., in person in Malacanang two days before Apple iPhone 4s was officially launched in the Philippines.

Globe president, Ernest Cu, clarified that it was not for anything else but to acknowledge President Noynoy's loyalty to Globe Telecom since he has been their subscriber for years now.

For techie lovers out there, you can also own an Apple iPhone 4S by clicking here and here.

Kim Jong Il Dead at 69

Photo from nndb.com
North Korean leader Kim Jong Il, died today at the age of 69. The cause of his death is still unknown but media speculates that he died due to complications of diabetes and heart disease. In 2008, he had a stroke but appeared still vigorous in photos and videos.

During his 17-year rule, North Korea suffered three-year famine which caused the lives of more than 2 million. North Korea is known to be a hermit country, so secretive, that only a few were allowed to have telephone lines, computer and television wherein there is only one channel to watch... everything is a propaganda.

Kim Jong Un, his third son, shall takeover his position.

Azkals vs. LA Galaxy

I am not a football fan, heck, I do not even know the rules of the game. But, I watched the televised exhibition game of the Azkals and LA Galaxy at the Rizal Memorial Stadium and I was hooked.

So, the LA Galaxy won with a score of 6 versus the 1 goal of the Azkals, but the game brought the house down. It was one unforgettable moment in the world of sports particularly in the world of football fans in the Philippines.

Manny Pacquiao was the lucky one who took home David Beckham's jersey.

I was once a b2b telemarketer

I was once a b2b telemarketer of an Australian company back in 2007. It was a trial job after working in a government office for almost three years as a clerk. I only had vague idea on what a telemarketer is supposed to do. Years back, telemarketing is something you only get to picture in a call center company and only a few industrial companies had b2b telemarketing division. I thought calling another company to offer a product was simple. It took some time before I was able to somehow master the art of telephone communication that incorporates marketing and eventually, sales. Hearing yeses from clients was the most rewarding thing a telemarketer can experience.

Being a b2b telemarketer is not easy. You have to be tactful, assertive but not pushy and know by heart what you want to say and sell. If want to build a career in this field you have to know these:

1. Motivation - first and foremost, you have to have the passion for it, otherwise, you'll end up being frustrated for each rejection.

2. Product Knowledge - what I learned from reading marketing books is that the secret to selling is knowing what you sell... from its raw state to the finished product.

3. Know the Call Format - companies have their own call plan. Read and memorize it.

4. Attitude - it is harder to sell on the phone because you don't see the reaction of the person. It is important that your client knows, through your voice, that you are someone he or she can trust.

5. Know the Customer - you don't sell dog food to someone who owns a cat.

6. Visualize Your Success - if you think of failure, then, it is failure that you will get. A b2b telemarketer must be an optimist at all times. Business is but a pool of rejection and if you will see it that way, you will never get to meet your quota.

7. Enjoy the Success -  celebrate a sale even if it is the only sale! And recollect what strategy you made to get that sale and stick to it.

Can I has cheeseburger? And 50 thousand pesos?

I am craving for cheeseburger! And my favorite cheeseburger maker--McDonalds is giving away 50 thousand pesos every day for McDelivery orders. Too bad, McDo is too far away from home to deliver.

If you have McDonald's near you, good luck because you already qualify. If you want to know more about this promo, click on the link.

Go ahead, I know you are craving for a cheeseburger too.

Why are you still single?

The dreaded question of all in any family gathering or school reunion is "Why are you still single?"

Why not?

To avoid being questioned, you might as well send a mail or email with a Singleton Holiday Card enclosed so the moment you visit them this Christmas, you will be asked of the more important questions other than your current relationship status.

It looks something like this...

Dream Interpretation: Building, Holding Hands, Ocean, Whirlpool

Photo from here.
I dreamed of being on a city, something like New Delhi, with my son and his dad. We were looking for a place to stay, an apartment or condo, but couldn't find any that suits our tastes. We headed towards a small community near the ocean and from afar I saw two tall, pink and blue buildings swaying... close to kissing the ground. I was dead scared but an old woman assured me that it was built that way. After a while, the tide began to rise and a whirlpool started to form right before my eyes. I immediately called Allan to secure Lance and to hold my hands as we grab hold of the huge wooden post. As soon as we hold our hands, the water engulfed us. The water subsided. I was frantic and afraid. I began searching for Lance. I was afraid he'd drown. And, alas, I saw him under water, grabbed his hand and took him out of the water. He's fine. Crying, but, alright. I next searched for Allan and saw him on the other side of the beach.

According to Dream Moods, the building represents the self and the body. The ocean represents the state of emotions and feelings. It is indicative of spiritual refreshment, tranquility and renewal. If the ocean is rough, the dream represents emotional turmoil. You are doing your best to handle life's ups and downs. The whirlpool also signifies emotional turmoil. To dream that you are holding hands with someone represents love, affection and your connection with that person. It may also reflect anxieties about losing touch with him/her or that you are drifting apart.

I am still thankful...

Happy Thanksgiving!

Aside from the many blessings I have received this year, there is one thing special that I am really grateful for today... it is my son's second life.

Last Friday at around 2:30 in the afternoon while I was busy giving directions to my office staff, I received a news that my son was rushed to the Emergency Room because he was hit and run by a motorcycle. That was the most devastating news any mother could hear about her child. I was not prepared for the day. I immediately rushed to the ER to check on him and he was crying and in pain. I heard him asked the nurse "Where's my Mommy? Where's Daddy?". My heart felt like it stopped beating when I saw him drenched in blood. He had contusion and wound on his forehead, arms and left leg. His right leg was fractured and could not move. At 6:00 in the evening he was scheduled for wound debridement, suturing and casting. He cried and cried while waiting for the schedule until he felt tired. I accompanied him to the OR and told him happy stories to divert his attention.

The procedure was successful and his doctor confirmed that his CT scan result was normal. We were discharged on Sunday afternoon.

Indifference kills. It almost took away my child's life. I remember the video of a young Chinese child who was ran over at least three times by two vehicles and she was left in the middle of the road dying. I could not imagine... and do not want to imagine the same thing happening to my child. But it did happen to him. If felt like I was shattered to many pieces.

I am thankful, despite of it all, that my son is still with me and he is recovering fast.

The driver is still at large. I pray it will not happen to him or to any of his loved ones.

Don't be rude

Don't be rude. Don't walk away if a person is still talking to you even if you already said goodbye. It is too disappointing to know that this person of known government position did it to a fellow female worker. The worst feeling is that I have known this man in position for years now and seeing him acting so unbecoming of a gentleman is so beyond words to explain.

Intimidation, threat and coercion will not earn you respect.

Coming Soon: Snow White and the Huntsman

It seems that fairy tale characters are the target of movie producers to attract moviegoers once again. This time, Snow White gets to tell her story through Kirsten Stewart who portrays the lead role. The evil queen is played by Charlize Theron--I think she is the perfect actress for the role. Chris Hemsworth will make our hearts throb as he portrays the huntsman.

This story is completely different from the Snow White story we know as it narrates the other side of the story... Snow White's first savior--the huntsman who was summoned by the queen to kill her in the forest. Little did the queen know, he was secretly training Snow White in the art of war.

The movie will be released on June 1, 2012.

Pacquiao Won!

Manny Pacquiao beat Juan Manuel Marquez for the last time in Welterweight division. The pound for pound boxing champ, Pacman, did not give what was expected of him but nonetheless, by majority decision, he remains the champion.

I watched the most awaited rematch on live television and saw first hand how the two fighters performed. I believe that Marquez gave his all to this fight--it was the fight of a lifetime for him, a chance to prove that he is the real champion.

Round 1 ended, 2, 3, 4 and 5... both seemed to be even. Round 6 came, 7, 8, 9, 10... it seems Marquez dominated the 5 rounds. The last two rounds were critical for Pacquiao... no knockout. It was a nerve wracking 2 minutes or so waiting for the decision. While the judges tally their scores, Jinkee Pacquiao was teary eyed, Marquez started to make his little celebration on the other side of the ring, Pacquiao knelt to pray and eventually approached Marquez as if confirming the latter's reason for celebration. And then... it was announced. Still the welterweight champion of the world is Manny 'Pacman' Pacquiao!

The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown

I bought this book last Wednesday and I was able to finish it last night. Dan Brown has taken a lot of sleeping time from me.

This book gave me the same excitement as the Angels and Demons and has intensified my interest in conspiracy theories. I have read an article before, a publication of Catholic origin, vehemently denying the allegations that Jesus Christ had a relationship with Mary Magdalene and that they actually had a child. This book, no wonder, made international buzz... it contradicts Catholic dogma.

Dan Brown is surely a great storyteller. He puts you in a position that you almost question your beliefs.

Paquiao vs. Marquez Round III

On Sunday at MGM in Las Vegas, the world will finally witness another boxing event that will leave a mark in the world of sports and hopefully will end the question of who is the world's greatest boxer.

Angels and Demons by Dan Brown

I finished reading Angels and Demons by Dan Brown in a record breaking two days. I normally finish a book in  four to five days and that was when I was so hooked at Harry Potter.

This book is so believable. It almost made me think twice about reality. It fueled my interest in conspiracy theories, the ancient times, science and religion. Each chapter brought me, through my imagination, to Rome.

Next book that I will buy will definitely be The Da Vinci Code, also by Dan Brown.

Updates! Updates!

It's been a while...

My younger sister gave birth to a healthy boy last October 22. He looks like my son when I gave birth to him. He is too cute for words! How I wish I could carry him. They are living in another country so we'd probably see him when he is already walking. I brought up the news to dad and he asked why I didn't name my son that starts with "J"... I broke the unwritten rule... his  name starts with "J' and so are my sisters, brothers and nieces.

A few weeks ago I have been busy going around town meeting new faces, meeting clients and taking driving lessons. I don't know if I mentioned in this blog that I promise to have a driver's license before I turn the big 3-0. Yep! I already know how to drive. I'll get my non-professional license before the end of this month. SO HAPPY!

We had a Halloween party in our grandmother's house. It was organized by my cousins. They all wore costumes, we played games, we sang and danced. I dressed my son as a soldier. He even got to participate in the games. It was the first Halloween party and I bet there will be more in the years to come.

Last November 1, All Saints day, we went to the cemetery to visit our departed loved ones. It is a tradition in the Philippines in commemoration of the dead. As usual, all members of the family gathered in our family's mausoleum. There were foods. It was a reunion. It's one of the most awaited holidays of the Filipinos.

After almost two months of planning with the Philippine Marketing Association officers, we finally pushed through our benefit concert last November 4. It was not a grand event but we certainly achieved our goal. Part of the ticket sales will be given to Philippine National Red Cross and to an orphanage for the physically and mentally challenged children.

I am back to reading. I don't spend much time online because my son always play games on the computer... which is good because it made me go back to reading... it is also bad because I don't get to update my blogs often. I was able to finish four books... it's a lame count, but, at least I get to finish them. Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom was the first book that made a huge impact in my life... it actually made me cry. For the adventurous souls, I can recommend Silverfin by Charlie Higson. It narrates the story of the young James Bond. The other two that I read were The Baker's Apprentice by Judith Ryan Hendricks and Ligo na U, Lapit na Me by Eros Atalia.

I still have one book to finish, it's Ken Follet's The Pillars of the Earth--which is in Oprah's Book Club list. It is a challenging book... with 983 pages at font 12 and single space.

Next in line is Dan Brown's Angels & Demons that I bought at Book Sale for Php180. I think there's a greater chance that I'll read this first before I continue with Ken Follet's.

Patricia Cornwell's The Last Precinct is only Php50 at Book Sale and it is in hard bound. I also saw in the same rack J. R. R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings Trilogy that they are selling for Php180 each and The Hobbit--a prelude to the trilogy, for Php225. I was thinking of buying the four but budget did not permit.

There... until my next post.

This video is so sick!

My heart skipped beating so many times while watching this video. This is so sick! What the hell is happening to the world??? Why didn't they help the poor child???

Indifference is what slowly kills humanity. It is a plague that slowly eats the most of us. Shame on the 18 passers-by who did nothing to save the child from death. I hope it will not happen to them or to any of their loved ones. And I hope China will think a million times before they pass their law.

You can read articles about this soulless video here, here and here.

Oh, the Places You'll Actually Go! by Dr. Seuss

I love Dr. Seuss.
Click on the jump to read the contents.

Realizations

1. You will never fully understand a psycho.
2. Like minds aren't a pretty good pair... they will just bore each other nodding at each other.
3. Get out before it is too late (this applies in all situations).
4. You can say you are happy but your eyes won't lie.
5. There will come a time that you will cry about nothing, even if you are a man.

New Book: Ligo na U, Lapit na Me by Eros S. Atalia

I was able to have a quick tour inside a book store earlier this day and I didn't waste a time searching for this book by Eros S. Atalia--Ligo na U, Lapit na Me. I first saw this book last week as I was paying for some supplies at the cashier. I thought it has a funny title. I am quite fond of reading this type of books being Bob Ong as my favorite author.

It was only a few days ago that I learned from YouTube that this book was actually made into an Indie film. I clicked on the play button to take a peek and I was quite impressed of the story.

Ligo na U, Lapit na Me is a story about a college student named Intoy who had a 'special' kind of relationship with his classmate named Jenny. They do not consider themselves as a couple but they both enjoy the benefits of being one.

 I love Intoy and Jenny.

High efficiency furnace

I am excited about Christmas. It is my most favorite holiday of them all because aside from the left and right parties and reunions and the merry air that you can see and feel, it is also the time that our air conditioning unit gets a rest. Temperature during Christmas season until February drops up to 3 degrees from the normal. It is usually during January and February that temperature drops up to 5 degrees when snow from the Northern Hemisphere starts to melt, at this point, I sometimes wish we have high efficiency furnace to warm up the room a little bit.

Basketball training for my son

My son's dad is a good basketball player, although he did not go to basketball training school and do not play in pro tournaments, he joins inter-town games with his friends. He sees basketball more as a sport rather than a possible source of income. When our son was born, he always said that someday he will teach our son to play. The thought of father and son basketball bonding excites me so much... it is a sight that I commonly see on television shows or in movies. Anyway, our son is now three years old and instead of learning how to play basketball, he learned to play volleyball--my sport. His dad wasn't actually disappointed that he is more interested in my sport than his sport, but, I could sense that he is still wishing it is his sport rather than mine. So now, I am thinking of sending our son to basketball training school when he gets a little older.

9/11 after 10 years

Where were you when the World Trade Center was attacked by terrorists?

I could very well remember that day. I was in my room watching E! in the afternoon when I suddenly received a text message from a college friend. She said the World Trade Center was hit by a plane. I thought it was the WTC in Manila but her message was followed by "the second tower collapsed". I immediately tuned in to the news to see what was happening in the US. The videos of the twin towers slowly collapsing and seeing people jumping out of the building were horrific.

Tomorrow, the world will commemorate the 10th anniversary of the most brutal terrorist attack man shall ever know in his life.

Receiving Compliments

When somebody compliments you about a job well done, the way you look or your beautiful shoes, how do you respond or react?

It is just recently that I have learned to accept the compliments. And there is a solid reason why I did not years back. Whenever someone would give me compliments, I would say "oh, it is nothing" or "not really".

Not all Filipinos would accept compliments without negation. And that is what I have learned to not do anymore. Accepting or receiving compliment is not being conceited or arrogant... it is in fact, acknowledging the sincerity of the person giving the words of praise and confirming that indeed you made an effort to do a great job or to look good.

So, the next time you are being complimented of something, smile and say "thank you!".

Thoughts about happiness

I had a rare conversation with a friend. It is probably be the most memorable one we had in years. He said, he always prayed for the happiness of his ex when they were still together. His ex also prayed the same for him. They are now happily married... to a different man and woman.

Just this afternoon, someone told me that he can make me happy. I frankly told him, "no, you can never make me happy because you don't know what will make me happy. You can only make me smile. And smiling is different from happiness."

Vancouver Kayaks

My mom is pushing me to pursue my migration application to Canada while waiting for my US application to be approved. It's quite confusing actually. I have already filled out the application form and is currently waiting for some supporting documents to go with it. I have little knowledge about Canada, honestly. All I know is that it is freezing cold there--which is not good for me,but, whatever--and that they have beautiful mountain ranges and rivers to go kayaking. The latter makes me ecstatic to go there. I have many relatives in Canada and  I have heard from them that Vancouver kayaks are the best. I can imagine as early as now the amazing landscape, lush greens and wild rapids that will greet me when I go there.

Paris Hilton in Manila

Photo from phillyburbs.com.
Yep! The hotel heiress and socialite, Paris Hilton, arrived on Sunday at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) for a 5-day business trip to promote a resort hotel and to open her fashion boutique. Despite losing two cellphones, she happily tweeted:

"Mabuhay Philippines! I just arrived, thousands of fans waiting at the airport when I walked in. I feel so welcomed here! Mahal ko kayo! :)"

She's wearing a mustard tunic with embroidered neckline and comfortable jeans. She added chunky gold rings, bangles and simple earrings to complete the look. Oh, and let us not forget about her bug-eye sunglasses for the not-so-incognito look. So chic!

First Love Never Dies

I am such an idiot.

It was a pleasure talking to this man from my past. It was a bittersweet conversation that had me wiping my tears. I was able to tell him something that I have been keeping as a secret in a long time. I just had to tell it to him because another day of hiding it and talking to him as if everything is okay is like killing myself. Or so I thought it was. I told him now and here I am, lifeless. Not literally, or else I wouldn't be here narrating my stupidity.

I feel like floating on a sea of uncertainty. I am trying to keep my head up, pretend that I am okay and yet I am drowning inside. Could it be? Yes, it is. I am still in love. I didn't tell him that I love him... I am not that stupid. It's the admission that I did something wrong in the past that confirmed the feeling and I hate it.

I hate the fact that 'first love never dies'.

I hate the fact that after all these years, I still love him!

My Nail-A-Holics Nail Salon and Spa experience

After my much needed whole body massage yesterday, I went to Nail-A-Holics Nail Salon and Spa to give my feet a little pampering they deserve.

I was impressed at how the salon looked.
It was my first time to go to the place but the moment I walked inside, I immediately felt at-home. The ambiance is perfect for a brief relaxation experience. The walls were painted with turquoise accented by white, green and brown... pretty much like your are staying inside a house overlooking the beach. There is also a mural of the beach to complete the feel.

The very friendly and courteous lady who cleaned my feet. I actually didn't feel ticklish.
I chose to have Water Drift Spa Pedicure. As soon as I was seated on their couch, a lady handed me three pillows for me to comfortably sit as if the couch wasn't comfortable enough. And then I was offered fashion magazines--which I enjoyed reading--to keep me busy while waiting for the whole process to end.

A basket full of nail polishes. I chose to for my toenails to be painted with nude polish by Essie.
I enjoyed my one hour of foot pampering so much that I am thinking of going back again in two weeks.

Random Clicks: Passion at Resort World Manila

After a courtesy visit of my fellow Philippine Marketing Association officers in our headquarters in Ortigas, we went to Resort World Manila to have dinner at Passion restaurant where an officer's husband is working.

The lovely lanterns that give a warm and homey feel inside the restaurant.

Just two of the many horse paintings on the wall of Passion.

The basic table setting. No too many silver wares that tends to confuse many.

We are table number 23.
It wasn't my first time to eat in a Chinese restaurant but dining at Passion made me understand even more the Chinese way of eating their food and serving their meals. It was a lovely fine dining experience. I could dine there every week if I can.

Of all the meals served, this is my favorite--Deep fried crispy lapu-lapu with pomelo vinaigrette sauce. The perfect bitter-sweet taste! Yummy!

My Chinese dining experience will never be complete without drinking tea.
Passion is located at the 2nd Floor of Maxims Tower. It is open daily from 11AM until 10PM.

Resort World Manila is a premiere relaxation, shopping, and dining destination of foreign and local tourists and just about anyone who wants to experience living a posh life every once in a while. It is located across the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 and adjacent to the Villamor Golf Course.

Aside from fine dining, you can also shop until your drop in Newport Mall that houses Rolex, Lacoste, Michael Kors, Michael Antonio, Paris Hilton, Charles & Keith, Prada and Louis Vuitton among other luxe shops. I was literally drooling over the gorgeous merchandise. I only wish I have a lot of money to spend. *sigh*

Basketball Training

I could still very well remember how my uncles would join inter-town basketball leagues. My aunts and I, together with my other cousins would go to the gym and watch their game. In my humble opinion, my uncles were the greatest basketball players in the league. Despite the television marathon watching every NBA or PBA games with my aunts, I never really had a formal basketball training aside from when it was a requisite physical education subject back in college. I do believe that we all have different talents, as for me, basketball is not one of those. I am not considering a training in the sport because I don't like running around the court trying to shoot the ball, I just like to watch in the bleachers and cheer my favorite team.

Captain America

Captain America is my least favorite of Marvel superheroes, but, that was before I saw the movie. Today, I was able to see the human side of Captain America--how he struggled to become a soldier and how his heart made him America's superhero. Unlike other superheroes with super powers from other planets, Captain America shows that any regular guy (skinny even) can be anyone's superhero--you just have to have the right intentions and a good heart.

I am going to spill a bit about the movie... I never heard any character said 'I love you' because they really don't need to--their feelings are too obvious. I think that Samuel L. Jackson is one of the most important characters of the movie despite his less than three minutes camera exposure and a few lines.

Cast of Characters:
Chris Evans - Steve Rogers/Captain America
Hayley Atwell - Peggy Carter
Sebastian Stan - James Buchanan 'Bucky' Barnes
Tommy Lee Jones - Colonel Chester Phillips
Hugo Weaving - Johann Schmidt/Red Skull
Dominic Cooper - Howard Stark
Richard Armitage - Heinz Kruger
Stanley Tucci - Dr. Abraham Erskine
Samuel L. Jackson - Nick Fury
Toby Jones - Dr. Arnim Zola

Because Captain America is the most normal superhero I know and Chris Evans is so darn hot... I will give this movie 5 stars.
