Random Clicks: MOA Eye

MOA (SM Mall of Asia) Eye is a 180 feet tall Ferris Wheel located at San Miguel Bay City in SM Mall of Asia complex. It was opened to public on December 18, 2011. It is considered the tallest Ferris wheel in the Philippines. It has 36 air-conditioned gondolas that can accommodate up to 6 persons each. You will spend Php150 for a 10-minute ride.

The Vow

When my friends and I went to Baguio last week, we decided to watch The Vow. I have heard from friends that it was a nice movie and that I should watch it.
This movie made me cry... maybe because I connected to the emotion of the lead actors. This movie actually made me want to fall in love again.
The Vow is a story of a newly wed couple named Leo (Channing Tatum) and Paige (Rachel McAdams) whose lives turned upside down when one night their car was hit from behind by a truck. The accident made Paige in coma and when she woke up, she could not remember her life with her husband. Leo was determined to help Paige remember her life with him, even up to the extent of making personal sacrifices.
Because this movie made a connection with me, I will give it 5 out of 5 stars.

I am back playing my favorite sport--volleyball!
I have been playing since I was ten years old. I think the love for the game runs in my blood because my aunts and uncles used to play, too. I started competing when I was in grade four until when I was in college. I stopped competing when I began to work in 2003. It is just now that I started playing again. I missed the thrill and the teamwork.

Valentine's Day

It is still four days away and yet it seems that love is already in the air. And so are Valentine's Day commodities' prices are keeping up with the high.
Where will I be on the 14th?
In the office. It is not yet proclaimed as a national holiday (duh).
And how about after office hours?
I will be watching a pageant in support of a co-employee who is a candidate. The organizers of the pageant are so lame... of the 29 days of February, they decided to have the pageant on the 14th. While everyone else will be on a date after work, I will be stuck watching the girls-I-pray-are-smart. I hope my co-employee will bag the title.
My most memorable Valentine's Day was five years ago. Instead of dining in a posh restaurant, we had a picnic, watched the sunset and counted the stars. It was one of the best conversations we ever had.

Journey 2: The Mysterious Island

I had a movie date with my son earlier this day. I originally planned to watch Alvin and the Chipmunks 2 but it's no longer in cinemas. Of the four movies being shown, Journey 2 The Mysterious Island is the most appropriate movie for a 4-year old.

Today is it's first showing day in the Philippines, for rest of the world, it will be shown on February 10th.
The new 3D family adventure "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island" begins when seventeen-year-old Sean Anderson (Josh Hutcherson) receives a coded distress signal from a mysterious island where no island should exist.
Unable to stop him from tracking the signal to its source, Sean's new stepfather, Hank (Dwayne Johnson), joins the quest that will take them first to the South Pacific, and then to a place few people have ever seen.  Or lived to tell about.   It's a place of stunning beauty, strange and threatening life forms, volcanoes, mountains of gold and more than one astonishing secret.
